This policy explains what data the RNX IPTV apps for Android and LG webOS TVs and the rnx-iptv.site website handle, why, and how you can control it.
1. Who we are
RNX IPTV ("we") develops the RNX IPTV media player apps for Android and LG webOS TVs (app ID com.rnx.iptv) and runs rnx-iptv.site. You can reach us through the support form.
2. Data handled by the apps
- IPTV credentials (server, username, password): stored only on your device (on Android, excluded from cloud backups and device transfers) and sent only to the provider server you enter. We never receive them.
- Favorites and watch progress: stored only on your device.
- Crash reports (on by default, can be turned off in Settings): error type and technical stack trace, app version, device manufacturer and model, operating system version (Android or webOS), language, a random installation ID and the time of the error. Credentials are removed from reports before they are sent. They do not include your name or email and are sent over HTTPS.
- Speed test: when you start it, the app downloads test data from Cloudflare's public servers to measure your connection.
- Content and images: channels, posters and program guides come from the provider you configure.
3. Data handled by the website
- Account: name, email, password (stored only as a secure hash), preferred language, sign-up and last login dates.
- Support messages: the name, email and message you send us.
- Security: IP addresses are stored only as salted hashes to limit abusive attempts, and deleted after 24 hours.
- Cookies: only technical cookies for your session and language choice. No advertising or analytics cookies.
4. Why we use it
To provide and secure the app and the website, answer support requests and fix errors in future versions. We do not sell, rent or share personal data for advertising.
5. Sharing
Data is stored on our hosting provider's servers, which process it on our behalf. We only disclose data when required by law.
6. Retention
- Website account: until you delete it.
- Support messages: up to 24 months, or until you delete your account.
- Crash reports: up to 12 months.
7. Your choices and rights
You can access, correct or delete your data. Delete your account and its data at any time from Delete account. In the app, log out, clear the app data or uninstall it to remove local data, and turn off crash reports in Settings.
8. Children
The app and website are not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Security
We use HTTPS, password hashing and store private data outside the public web folder.
10. Changes
We will update this page when the policy changes and show the new date above.
